Marek B. Helstrom

Formerly with such notable companies as Unocal, Schlumberger, and Procorp Associates, Inc., Marek’s unique motivational style and highly effective communication skills, combined with his insight into human behavior and appreciation for the value of Emotional Intelligence, culminate in his dynamic approach of adding value and purpose to his training and coaching interactions. This approach has successfully led individuals, families, teams, and corporations to long-term, excellent performance.

Marek is a co-founder of Purpose Centered Coaching & Training where he develops and delivers workshops in Human Behavior, Emotional Intelligence, Accountability, TeamBuilding, and Leadership along with his wife, Darlene. Together, he and Darlene provide training and coaching interventions that allow their clients to understand behavioral patterns (those that serve them well and those that don not serve them well), identify areas of strength and areas of concern, and ultimately develop better choice making habits. 

Marek has worked as the Executive Director of AbundantLifeAcademy, Leadership Facilitator for CSUB Extended University, Asset Manager for Schlumberger New Ventures, Associate Management Consultant for Procorp Associates, Inc.,  Geoscience Team Leader Exploration and Development (International and Domestic Divisions) Unocal.     

Marek holds a BA in Geography-Environmental Systems from CaliforniaStateUniversity at Northridge, a BS in Geology from the University of Southern California, and an M.A. in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. He is a Master Certified Human Behavior Consultant with Personality Insights, Inc., a Certified Winslow Assessment Consultant, a Certified EQ Consultant & Practitioner, Six Seconds, a Certified Anger Management Specialist through the Faith-Based Counselor Training Institute, and is finalizing his Coaching Certification from the Success Unlimited Network ® (an affiliate of and sanctioned by the International Coaching Federation).
